The Role This is a hands-on, physically fit role primarily focused on supporting the intensive irrigation program for the upcoming cotton season. Key duties will involve ground preparation, laying and pulling siphon tubes, monitoring water flow across the fields, and maintaining irrigation infrastructure. Beyond irrigation, you will be required to assist with a variety of general farm tasks including basic machinery maintenance, fencing, and general farm tidy-up. You will be operating across the farm's 3,000ha across multiple properties from Carroll to Quirindi with Carroll the main focus, dedicated to both primary irrigation and dryland cropping, including cotton, sorghum, mungbeans, wheat, barley, canola, and chickpeas. While some experience in irrigation and earthworks is beneficial, full training will be provided to a committed candidate. The Offer A highly attractive hourly or day rate will be negotiated based on your experience and skill level, ensuring a wage above the industry award. A well-maintained and comfortable cottage is included as part of the total remuneration package.
